What a crazy year 2016 has been! It seems like the world has been turned upside down, on times full of heartache, disappointment and despair. It's also been a tough old year in the small business circuit. But while I wouldn't want to do it all again I do think there has been some silver linings, if only that we end the year grateful for what we have, as well a little more resilient at what the world can throw at us. Here's some of the things 2016 has taught me...
I've noticed that at the moment a lot of bloggers are posting 50 things that make them happy. The last couple of weeks I've been feeling a bit down in the dumps with various things, so it got me thinking about the positives in my life... and I suddenly got perspective. Even when things are a bit flat there is always more things to smile about!
Today is International Women's Day and it got me thinking. Not about how men hold us back, thats not my style, but more about how the women in my life help shape the person that I am today, influencing me and supporting me on life's journey of dreams.
So last Wednesday, 13 January 2016 was panning out to be quite a normal day, the day job was crazy manic as usual and I'd hardly had time to think. I was planning on heading home to do some tinkering on the Shopafrolics website and a relaxing cuppa tea when a message came through on my mobile. WOW, you're a winner...!
